Product Manager - San Francisco, CA

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for market need analysis, requirements gathering and releasing planning of products and services. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and feedback from colleagues and customers. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time breaking down complex problems and design innovative solutions for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • * Managing of new product and services life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • * Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
  • * Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute

Requirements:

  • * 3+ years of software marketing/product management experience
  • * Knowledgeable in technology
  • * Ability to write clear market-driven product requirements
  • * Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience a strong plus
  • * Certification and experience in agile software development

Web Application Developer - San Francisco, CA

The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting and creating new pages, applications and widgets for the existing web site and infrastructure, as well as developing new technologies.

Requirements:

  • * At least 3 years of experience coding web pages for very high traffic, scalable and available consumer applications.
  • * Must be an HTML, HTML5 and CSS wizard
  • * Extremely experienced with Javascript – JQuery in particular.
  • * Fluent with XML
  • * Should be able to work with existing codebase and find out practical solutions.
  • * Ability to constructively influence a distributed team with new design paradigms.
  • * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience.
  • * Be able to create an HTML/CSS page that is a near exact replica of a JPEG or PSD design and that works across a larger set of browsers.
  • * Have a solid focus on page speed and a good understanding of basic principles (e.g., deferring javascript, sprites/css, compression).

Desired Skills:

  • * Knowledge of JSP, Velocity (and Velocity Template Engine) knowledge.
  • * Knowledge of scripting languages (PHP, Ruby, etc.).
  • * AJAX (dojo, scriptaculous, prototype).
  • * Mobile (JQuery for Mobile, Sencha).
  • * SQL, MySQL.
  • * QA, UI design.
  • * Fluent in Photoshop.
  • * Experience with developing for Facebook Pages and iFrames.
  • * Mobile coding experience.
  • * App coding experience.
  • * Strong attention to detail.
  • * Previous experience with ecommerce or affiliates or online advertising a plus.
  • * Experience in structured environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
  • * Ability to work additional hours as needed, especially around holidays.
  • * Extremely hands on.
  • * Experience in a high growth start-up environment.
  • * Flash, animation, video.
